100 Christmas Pub Quiz Questions with Answers 2023
During January, it’s easy to look forward to the New Year and its many promises. However there’s a lot to be said about reflecting on previous triumphs and achievements too. Least of all in the case of The Cavalier pub, located in Ravensfield near Rotherham, who have raised nearly £22,000 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance in recent years.
The pub has raised an impressive £8,806.52 in 2019 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance
Pub tenant Betty Lyon, the Pub’s staff and a dedicated band of hardworking volunteers, have raised an awesome amount of money for charity over the last few months. Throughout 2019 the pub organised and hosted a variety of events to raise money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance. These events included Raffles, Afternoon Teas, Funday’s, an 8-mile Bed push and an Auction with donations and contributions coming from the local community and businesses. With the fantastic support the pub received, The Cavalier smashed their previous years records, and managed to raise a whopping £8,806.52!
But the story doesn’t end there. In fact, they’ve raised an astronomical amount of money for charity over the last three years… £21,885.52 to be precise. Speaking to Betty Lyon, she said that ‘(Everyone involved at The Cavalier pub) is absolutely overwhelmed’, and it’s easy to see why. The Annual Fundraiser, ran by The Cavalier, runs every year from March to December.
The Pub staff, volunteers and local community have raised nearly £22,000 over the last 3 years.
Betty and the team wish to say ‘Well done and Thank you all for your support and contributions without you all this would not have been achievable’, and we completely agree. A sterling effort from all customers and volunteers involved including Mick Collins, Laura Smith and young Freddy who did a sponsored walk around a local park to help contribute to the grand total.
